A segment challenge is a collection of segments, where you score points on each segment in the challenge. The points on each segments is used in a total leaderboard for the challenge, and each segment-leaderboard. You set the timeframe, and the athletes efforts completed within the timeframe is added to the challenge.
Yes! You can choose segments from all the sports we support. Every segment is tagged with the sport it belongs to. Simply add the segments you want in the challenge.

A distance challenge is a challenge where all the participants compete in covering the most distance in the selected sports (each distance challenge have to choose between our supported sports). Distance challenges is a great way to motivate yourself, your friends and colleagues to get out there and stay active.
If you completed the segment before or after the challenge started/ended, the time will not be included in the challenge. If your activity is within the challenge timeframe, and it does show in the challenge, contact us at [email protected]
Yes. When you join a challenge, we automatically include all your efforts on the segments in the challenge, that was completed within the challenge timeframe. If you had completed a segment before the challenge start, it will not be included.
When a challenge ends, no changes will be made in the leaderboard. In a segment challenge, any new activities with matching segments, will not be included in the challenge. In a distance challenge, any new activities will not be included in the leaderboard.
Yes, HurryUp is available as a PWA, or "Progressive Web App". A PWA is a web-based application that behaves like a native mobile app. It works across devices and is installable. Installing HurryUp allows you to access HurryUp from your home screen just like any other app.
1. Open your preferred browser and visit HurryUp:
Most Android browsers support PWAs, but Google Chrome is the most common. You can also use Firefox or Edge.
2. Look for the installation prompt:
In Chrome: When you load the PWA website, you may see a banner at the bottom of the screen saying, "Add to Home Screen." Tap this.
If no banner appears, use the browser menu: Click the three vertical dots (menu) in the upper-right corner, then select "Add to Home screen."
3. Confirm installation:
You’ll be asked to confirm. Tap "Add" to place the PWA icon on your home screen.
4. Open the PWA from your home screen:
The PWA will now appear on your home screen like any other app. You can open it by tapping the icon, and it will launch in its own window without the browser interface.
PS: You might have to sign in again in the app after installing it.
1. Open Safari and visit HurryUp:
PWAs can only be installed using Safari on iOS devices.
2. Tap the "Share" icon (the square with an upward arrow):
This is located at the bottom center of the screen.
3. Select "Add to Home Screen" from the options:
Scroll down until you see the "Add to Home Screen" option and tap it.
4. Name the PWA (Optional):
You can rename the PWA if you prefer a different title. By default, it will use HurryUp.
5. Tap "Add":
The PWA icon will now appear on your home screen.
6. Open the PWA from your home screen:
Just tap the icon to launch the PWA. It will run like a native app, without the Safari browser bar.
PS: You might have to sign in again in the app, after installing it.
No, not at this moment. You'll need internet access to use the app.
Android: Make sure you're using a supported browser like Chrome or Firefox.
iOS: Ensure you are using Safari, as third-party browsers on iOS do not support PWA installation.
