How it works

HurryUp was created by athletes who have been using Strava since its launch and missed the opportunity to see a leaderboard based on multiple segments, rather than just who is fastest on a single segment.

What is HurryUp?

HurryUp is a digital platform where you can compete in endurance sports like cycling, running, Nordic skiing, and swimming — and even in combined events.

How to get started?

Step 1: Sign up
Create your HurryUp account to get started.

Step 2: Connect your device
Seamlessly link your device to upload your activities directly to HurryUp.

Step 3: Dive into challenges
Whether you're creating your own or joining existing ones, challenges are where the excitement happens. Get out there, tackle the segments, and climb the overall leaderboards!

What types of competitions are there?

There are two types:

A) Distance Challenge – A leaderboard based on the number of kilometers completed.

B) Segment Challenge – A leaderboard based on the points you score on selected segments included in the competition.

How to join a challenge?

You can find public challenges here. To join a private challenge, someone has to send you the URL.

How to create a challenge?

You can create a distance challenge here (these can only be private).

You can also create a segment challenge, but first, you need access to the segments you want to include in the competition.

There are already several segments available in HurryUp, and you can also create your own.

Please note that a segment challenge can be either public or private — it’s up to you.

How to create segments?

There are two ways to create a segment:

A) Go for a workout and create segments from that activity afterward.

B) Export the "original file" (FIT file) from one of your Strava workouts and upload it to HurryUp to create segments from it.

We recommend using a laptop or PC when creating segments.

Unfortunately, it’s not technically possible to use Strava segments directly in HurryUp. That’s why segments need to be created in HurryUp.
